• Roger Blum

    Roger is a Swiss software engineer with an MS in Computer Science. Before emigrating to Hawaii with his wife and 4 kids almost 20 years ago, he worked as a management consultant solving IT and organizational problems for his customers. Since then he has worked as a full stack software engineer building web-based business applications with a strong focus on data management and modeling. Roger is an Agile guru, combining the rigidity and problem solving aspects from his Military and Swiss coding backgrounds with the flexibility and improvisation of his three+ decades in mastering Karate and Judo practices. Roger has been based on the island of Kauai for almost 20 years, in his spare time, he likes to play soccer, hike, and read hard science fiction.

  • Srdjan Divac

    Srdjan is a mathematician with extensive teaching experience at Boston University, Tufts University, and Harvard University. He co-founded and co-directed a technology start-up between 1999 and 2006. In the process, he learned a fair deal about internet privacy and security, as well as about databases. He is stimulated by dynamical systems, algebra, tennis, reading, visiting islands, and, most pertinently, by making big or small data directly accessible to those who use it to create value.

  • Jeff Frisk

    With over 30 years in IT and cybersecurity leadership, Jeff is an innate problem solver who excels in driving leading-edge consumer-centered software products and services. His experience spans operational management, enterprise compliance oversight, product development, and systems engineering. He collaborates across governments, Fortune 500 corporations, and small enterprises to bring new technology solutions to life. Jeff holds the PMP® certification, GIAC GSEC/GLSC credentials, and a Bachelor of Science degree from Rochester Institute of Technology. He has been based on the island of Kauai for over 20 years, he is an avid surfer and traveler with a deep appreciation for live music.

  • Aidan O'Hara

    Aidan is a Data Scientist and Developer, with a BA in applied mathematics and an MS in Statistical Practice. After college graduation, he worked at the North Central New Mexico Economic Development District developing data user applications. In the wake of this experience, inspired by the impact data has on social development and change, Aidan decided to pursue a career in Data Science.

  • Haviland Wright

    Haviland Wright is a Professor of the Practice in the Department of Mathematics and Statistics at Boston University. He joined the department in 2012 and is currently director of the M.S. in Statistical Practice program. Prior to Boston University, Haviland focused on new enterprise development as C.E.O. at startups Avalanche Development Company, an early internet technology software company that was acquired by Interleaf, Inc., where he served as Senior Vice President and Chief Scientist; Displaytech, Inc. an innovator in liquid crystal on silicon displays; and SiteWatch Technologies an early internet of things company. Haviland has served on various boards, including the Compass Group of Funds, a complex of mutual funds managed by M.F.S. Investment Management. In 2001, Haviland moved his family to Kauaʻi, where he worked as the Small Business Development Center director. Kauaʻi remains Havilandʻs family home. Haviland graduated with his Ph.D. from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania, where he also earned an M.B.A. and a B.A. in mathematics and history.
